Since announcing the launch of their Video Pre-Roll ad format this February, TrafficStars has welcomed a team of new websites to their Video Pre-Roll inventory.
TrafficStars’ Video Pre-roll format consists of a video ad of up to 20 seconds, which plays before the content and allows the user to skip the ad after 6 seconds. A countdown for the skip button is displayed from the start of the pre-roll video ad and a link to the landing page is displayed in the top right corner and remains during the following video content, even after the ad has finished.
Video Pre-Roll provides a good experience for users who are familiar with similar formats on YouTube and Facebook. It is non-intrusive and user-friendly and fits perfectly in line with Google’s new ad standards – especially since the link is clearly labeled, avoiding any blind clicks, meaning the user is only taken away from the page if they click on the link to the landing page.
The first website to take advantage of this new ad format with TrafficStars was xHamster – and since the launch, both publishers and advertisers have fallen in love with the new ad format that everyone is talking about in 2018.
