What is MasterSpot?
MasterSpot is TrafficStars’ all-in-one monetization solution for publishers. It allows multiple ad formats to compete for the same placement through a single ad code.
For every impression, MasterSpot automatically serves the eligible option with the highest value, helping publishers maximize revenue from each placement.

How does MasterSpot work?
When a visitor opens a page containing a MasterSpot, TrafficStars runs a real-time auction between the eligible campaigns and formats available for that placement.
MasterSpot automatically selects and displays the most profitable option. Publishers do not need to manage multiple ad codes or rotate formats manually.
Which ad formats does MasterSpot support?
Standard MasterSpot dimensions can include the following formats in their rotation:
- Multiple Banner sizes
- Native
- Video Outstream
Which MasterSpot dimensions are available?
Publishers can select:
- 300×100
- 300×250
- 728×90
- 900×250
- 1300×480
- Custom Native
Choose the dimension that fits the available advertising space on your website.
Do I need to select individual Banner sizes?
No. After you select a standard MasterSpot dimension, TrafficStars automatically runs all compatible Banner options within that placement.
The available Banner combinations depend on the selected dimension and advertiser demand.
Which settings are available for Native ads?
For Native ads, publishers can:
- select the number of thumbnails displayed
- enable a Native carousel
- enable a mobile responsive layout
The mobile responsive layout adapts the Native unit to the available screen width on mobile devices.
What is Custom Native?
Custom Native is designed for publishers who want to run a Native-only placement in a size that is not available among the standard MasterSpot dimensions.
Only Native ads are displayed in a Custom Native placement. They do not rotate with Banner or Video Outstream ads.
What is ad refresh?
Ad refresh is an optional feature that displays a new ad after the selected interval while the visitor remains on the page.
The available settings are:
- None
- 30 seconds
- 60 seconds
- 90 seconds
- 120 seconds
Enabling ad refresh creates additional impressions from longer user sessions and helps publishers generate more revenue from the same placement.
How does MasterSpot increase publisher revenue?
MasterSpot brings multiple ad formats, Banner sizes, and advertiser campaigns into the same real-time auction.
This increases competition for every impression and allows TrafficStars to serve the option with the highest value. Publishers also gain additional revenue opportunities through Native ads, Video Outstream, and optional ad refresh.
With more demand competing inside each placement, MasterSpot helps publishers improve CPM and total revenue.
What are the main benefits of MasterSpot?
MasterSpot provides:
- higher competition for every impression
- automatic selection of the most profitable option
- access to Banner, Native, and Video Outstream demand
- one code for multiple eligible formats
- more engaging Native experiences with configurable thumbnails, carousel, and mobile-responsive layouts
- simpler placement management
Where can I place MasterSpot?
MasterSpot can be added to advertising areas such as:
- Headers
- Footers
- NTV zones
- In-content sections
- Below-content sections
Choose a dimension that fits the available space and displays correctly across the devices used by your audience.
If none of the standard dimensions fits the required space and you want to display only Native ads, use Custom Native.
